I am a multimedia artist with a lifelong dedication to creative expression, primarily working in oil since the age of five. My artistic journey has taken me across the world, shaping my practice through diverse cultural influences and traditional techniques.
During my ten years in Hong Kong, I immersed myself in the study of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. While living in Tennessee, I expanded my expertise into ceramics, kiln construction, and textile arts, including cloth and basket weaving.
For the past 35 years in California, I explored abstract painting at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and spent extensive time painting en plein air along the breathtaking landscapes of Big Sur and the Monterey Peninsula. In the three years leading up to my move to Santa Fe in 2023, I studied portrait painting in Monterey, California.
My work is deeply influenced by the places I have lived, the cultures I have experienced, and the passage of time—reflecting a visual dialogue between memory, movement, and artistic exploration.
